The Kirche, our new vineyard accommodation in the original Krondorf Village church, was officially opened on Saturday afternoon. 

We chose Sat 12th Sept as the opening date as it was the 145 year anniversary to the day of the first foundation stone of the church being laid.

We had a wonderful turnout & everyone had a fantastic time.

A special thank you to "Miss Maggies" www.missmaggies.com.au who did such a great job of presenting the flowers.

The Barossa is looking lovely lush and green for the first time in a long while. Creeks that are usually dry are flowing and full of life with ducks and birds.

We are for the first time ahead of our average rainfall in 18 years and the vines are soaking up every drop! Not very good for James, Pete and Coralie who are out there pruning!!

We are so pleased to announce we won Gold for our 2006 Nine Popes at the Decanter awards in London.

The Nine Popes was in the top 2% of 10,285 wines entered from all over the world.

Well, things seem to be moving along very quickly and the first shed is up and the second one not far off.

Completion of both buildings seems to be on schedule and we should be moving in by the end of winter 2009.

Earthworks began on Tuesday 10th of March to level out the area on which our new winery and dry goods/barrel shed will go.

A massive 6000 tonnes of earth was needed to be moved to level the area for the foundation to be laid.
